The IDEC Head Office Maintained the OMAb certification in the 2025 SEGES Assessment
“The Forest of IZUMI” at the IDEC Head Office maintained the Operation, Management and Active use with building(OMAb)certification in the assessment by Social and Environmental Green Evaluation System (SEGES) in 2025. It is the result of our efforts in sustainable green space management and ecosystem conservation.
On March 26 and 27, we held an event, “Living Things Observation & Environmental Learning” in collaboration with the Council of Social Welfare in Yodogawa Ward, Osaka City, where our Head Office is located. We explained the importance of keeping green space to local children with an opportunity to interact with nature. The event included study programs such as “Living Things Observation”, where they learned about ecosystem at “the Forest of Izumi, biodiversity studies with Eco Stack- a habitat for living creatures- and IDEC original environmental quizzes. They had fun while studying environmental conservation.
The cherry tree, the symbol of the “Forest of Izumi”, has been registered as “Ojii-san no Ki” (The Grandfather’s tree) by the NPO Osaka Green and Tree Diagnosis Association. The registration is given to trees that have been cherished by and lived through history with people in the community. It also works as one of the NPO’s initiatives for protection and education about greenery. The cherry tree at IDEC is a historic one that has been nurtured since the premises had been owned by Bayer Yakuhin Ltd., and since before our Head Office has been constructed there after that. We will protect it with care in the future as well.
IDEC is committed to preserving the environment and creating a sustainable future in harmony with the local community.
